How do you get rid of large pores on your face?
Pore size is mostly determined by genetics. However, you can minimize their appearance by keeping them free of oil and debris. This means proper cleansing and regular exfoliation. You also want to use products that are non-comedogenic, meaning they won’t clog your pores. -
What type of face cream shrinks large pores?
To shrink large pores, focus on creams or serums with Beta Hydroxy acids, Salicylic Acid in particular. This acid works by penetrating the pore or oil gland and dissolving dead skin, debris and oil. A Retinol product will also be very effective at reducing pore size and preventing them from filling up again. -
What causes large pores?
The biggest factor is genetics. The second is skin type. If you have oily skin, the two often go hand in hand. When you have excess oil, skin cells and dirt, this can cause the pore or gland to swell and fill up. And if you are not caring for your skin properly, cleansing enough or using the right products, this will also be a contributing factor. Aging can also lead to large pores. When your skin loses its elasticity, it can cause your skin to stretch and sag, making pores appear larger.
