I am an esthetician and have been using PCA for almost 2 years now. I personally have the Smoothing Toner and Hydrating Toner and alternate them according. I have not had any issues at al using this toner on my own skin on a regular basis. The Smoothing Toner is a fantastic product to use on most skin types. I use this toner on about 70% of my clients for facials, Dermaplaning, Microneedling, high frequency (because it does not have any alcohol in it), and many other skincare procedures. I have not had a client yet who has had any sensitivity or adverse effects from it. It leaves the skin clean, prepped and glowing. I especially love the ingredients (aloe, lactic acid, cucumber...) I have seen a few reviews say that the individual using this claims to have had some stinging with this product. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to go with the PCA Hydrating Toner instead. If you do not have sensitive skin but have acne that is irritated or any skin issue that is not completely healed then I would just say to be cautious when using this product (to be on the safe side). Try starting out using the cleanser every other day until your skin and barrier strengthen. I think if you are not highly reactive to it and can be consistent, then the skin should start to respond and clear up. If you do not see any improvement after 5-7 days, then switch to another toner but please get familiar with what is in your products. That way you will truly know what works for your skin and what does not. I have so many clients who think their skin is "normal" and I find out it's super dehydrated, dry, or sensitive.
Very good for acne and PIH not stripping at all
A little goes a long way. I use it sparingly. My skin feels smoother already.
