FAQ's
-
Why is my skin still so dry, even after moisturizing?
There could be a variety of reasons: using a too-harsh cleanser, over-cleansing and over-exfoliating. Other possible reasons include cleansing with water that’s too hot, being in a cold or dry climate, not getting enough water, side effects from medication or a medical condition, or not using the correct moisturizer for your skin type. -
What causes dry skin?
In addition to the external and environmental factors listed above, the two most common causes are genetics and aging. Not only does collagen and hyaluronic acid get depleted from our bodies as we age, but our skin can no longer hold moisture as effectively as it once did. -
What’s the best way to treat dry skin on your face?
Apply your moisturizer right after showering or cleansing. Avoid hot showers, cleanse with a gentle, cream cleanser under lukewarm water instead. Find a moisturizer that is emollient and truly tailored to dry skin types. If your skin is extra dry, try using a skin balm or ointment, or layer facial oil over your moisturizer. Last tip: use gentle, fragrance-free and hypo-allergenic products that won’t irritate dry skin.
