• What ingredients should you not mix with glycolic acid?

  Glycolic Acid is generally pretty well tolerated, but it depends on the concentration. You may find products that combine Glycolic Acid with other potent ingredients such as Vitamin C, Retinol and beta-hydroxy acids like Salicylic Acid. However, these products have been carefully formulated with the right amounts so they can work together without irritation. If you’re mixing active ingredients on your own, be more careful. For instance, if you’re using a Vitamin C product, try using that in the morning and your Glycolic Acid product in the evening. If you’re using a Retinol serum, try alternating it on separate days with the Glycolic Acid product. These steps will help to avoid irritation.
